The AU-EU Youth Voices Lab in Puntland

In May 2025, Puntland State University (PSU) hosted the 3is project delegation, bringing together representatives from the University of Girona, Kenyatta University, and our consortium partner, Youthmakers Hub. The visit focused on strengthening institutional partnerships, engaging with the Puntland ecosystem, and fostering knowledge exchange. Activities included strategic meetings, workshops, community outreach, and cultural interactions, resulting in formal agreements for continued collaboration.

On 16 May, Youthmakers Hub led a session titled “Youth Engagement & Mentorship” for students and recent graduates. The session highlighted EU-funded opportunities, including Erasmus+ mobility schemes, scholarships, and development tools, aimed at empowering young people.

Konstantinos Maragkos from Youthmakers Hub presented the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective as an effective programme for youth engagement and participation. He also introduced initiatives such as the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees, the UNESCO Global Youth Grant Scheme, and the European Forum Alpbach, encouraging young people to shape their personal and academic futures actively. This was the first time that the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab has been presented as a good practice of youth involvement in Puntland and the representatives expressed their interest in further looking into this. Thank you!
