AU-EU Youth Voices Lab App Virtual Demo & Feedback series
In collaboration with Youth Congress and HapaSpace, Youthmakers Hub organised a series of virtual demos to introduce youth leaders to the AU–EU Youth Voices Lab App and its role in supporting youth engagement within the AU–EU partnership framework.
The activity brought together over 100 participants across three online sessions, creating a dynamic space for learning, exchange, and feedback.
Objective of the activity
One of the goals was to introduce youth leaders in Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana to the AU–EU Youth Voices Lab mobile app and deepen their understanding of how it supports youth participation within the AU–EU partnership.
Through these sessions, participants were guided through the app’s key features, including:
- cross-continental networking
- access to opportunities and resources
- participation in certified learning courses
The activity aimed not only to present the platform but also to encourage young people to actively explore and engage with its opportunities.
What was discussed
The sessions opened with an introduction to the broader vision of the AU–EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective programme.
After explaining the main pillars of the programme, we moved on to discuss the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab App, which is designed to provide access to information, training and collaborative workshops, strengthen connections between people, and align with young people’s preferences based on consultations.
To better understand the application, it is divided into three important sections:
- Create – enabling users to co-create the app through surveys and feedback
- Learn – offering certified courses on topics such as communication and advocacy
- Share – providing space for users to exchange ideas, experiences, and insights
Participant Engagement and Feedback
The sessions concluded with an interactive feedback segment, where participants were invited to share their impressions, ideas, and suggestions.
A Shared Reflection
As shared during the session:
“The power of co-creation lies in its ability to merge diverse voices, creating a symphony of solutions that no single mind could compose.”
— Wangari Maathai
This reflection captured the spirit of the activity and the broader vision of the programme.
By combining digital tools with participatory approaches, the activity reinforced the importance of inclusive, youth-driven solutions in shaping the future of AU–EU cooperation.
