Youth Employability and the Responsible Use of Digital Tools in the Search for Professional Opportunities in Yaoundé
18 March 2026, Cameroon
On 18 March 2026, the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective, through its partner ComDev Africa, supported a youth and digital forum at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Youth Centre in Cameroon.
Under the title “Youth Employability and the Responsible Use of Digital Tools in the Search for Professional Opportunities in Yaoundé,” the forum brought together around 300 participants, including young people, students, leaders of civil society associations, youth mentors, and youth delegates.
The activity focused on how digital tools can support young people in accessing professional opportunities, strengthening their employability, and preparing for the evolving world of work. Through practical workshops on digital CV writing and panel discussions on entrepreneurship, participants explored how to use digital spaces responsibly, strategically, and confidently in their professional journeys.
The forum created a space for learning, exchange, and connection, helping young people improve their digital skills while reflecting on employment, entrepreneurship, and professional integration in Yaoundé.
As one forum participant shared: “Digital technology is a lever to transform opportunities into reality.”
The activity contributed to the broader mission of the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective: co-creating a more inclusive and youth-responsive society across Africa and Europe.
