29 April 2026
On Wednesday, 29th April 2026, Restless Development hosted a virtual demo and feedback session for the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab App under the Programme. Held online via Zoom, the session brought together 32 participants, including programme staff, grantees, Youth Advisory Board members (YABs), Youth Accountability Champions, peer educators, and young researchers.
The interactive session aimed to strengthen stakeholder understanding of the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab App and its role in amplifying youth voices across Africa and Europe. Participants were introduced to the platform’s core features, including learning modules, collaboration spaces, group engagement tools, and opportunities designed to support youth participation and networking.
The demo was tailored to equip different participant groups with the practical knowledge needed to engage effectively with the app and promote its use within their communities and programmes. Programme staff explored strategies for onboarding and supporting young users, while grantees and young leaders learned how the platform can be used to access learning opportunities, foster collaboration, and encourage peer-to-peer engagement.
A key highlight of the session was the emphasis on collective ownership and shared responsibility in ensuring the success of the platform. Speaking during the session, Juliet Nakazibwe, Head of Programmes & Partnerships at Restless Development, noted:
“We have a shared responsibility to make sure that the platform fulfils its intended purpose, we will therefore take it upon ourselves to ensure that as many young persons out there in our programmes & network are able to benefit and utilize this very amazing learning and also collaborative platform.”
The session reinforced stakeholder readiness and confidence in using the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab Mobile App, positioning young leaders as ambassadors who will drive adoption and engagement across their networks. By creating a shared understanding of the platform and its purpose, the activity contributes to building a stronger digital ecosystem where young people are empowered to connect, collaborate, and influence change across regions.
