ABOUT

Modernization of Education in Daaras and Boarding Schools is a project implemented by ACEBE – Cultural Association for the Development and Well-Being of Children in Senegal, focusing on children, young people, teachers, students from daaras and boarding schools, and Arabic-language learners. The project addresses unequal access to education and professional opportunities by combining field-based educational activities with EdTech solutions adapted to local realities and national languages. It supports literacy, digital skills, leadership, citizenship, employability, and modern pedagogy in Senegal.

“ Through our initiative, we want to sustainably reduce inequality of opportunity by giving children in daaras and boarding schools, as well as Arabic-language students, the essential skills they need to succeed: literacy, citizenship, digital skills, and employability. We aim to train teachers in modern and inclusive pedagogy, strengthen young people’s autonomy, and create equitable access to education and professional opportunities. Our ambition is to build a generation that can integrate socially and economically, and contribute fully to the development of Senegal and Africa. ”
