Sens’Act Workshops in Tunisia: Empowering Youth for Social Change

The Sens’Act workshops, organized by our partner ComDev Africa in Tunisia, recently brought together over 130 participants in Tunis, Sfax, and Gabès, creating a dynamic space for discussion and problem-solving on critical issues affecting these regions. The workshops took place on March 2, 2025, in Tunis at Westerwelle Startup Haus Tunis, in Sfax at ESEAC Private University, and on March 8, 2025, in Gabès at Chatt Essalem Youth Center.

These workshops addressed two key challenges: employment in the Tunis and Sfax regions and climate change in Gabès. With young leaders, community representatives, civil society organizations, and policymakers in attendance, the event facilitated meaningful collaboration between various stakeholders committed to driving social change. Participants developed concrete solutions to local challenges through interactive discussions, teamwork, and hands-on training. The workshops provided a platform for youth ambassadors and experts to exchange ideas and formulate action plans that would lead to real impact in their communities.

As a result, these workshops strengthened participants’ engagement in addressing employment and environmental challenges, developed innovative community-driven solutions, and built stronger networks with organizations and policymakers.

The Sens’Act initiative has enhanced young changemakers’ leadership capacity and laid the foundation for actionable strategies that will help transform these regions. The workshops have empowered youth to take charge of their futures and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive society by fostering collaboration and innovation.
