ABOUT

Voices of Resilience is a project implemented by Hashtag Gulu Initiative in Uganda, focusing on street-connected children and youth in Gulu City, Northern Uganda. The project addresses stigma, marginalization, trauma, and social exclusion by creating safe platforms for young people to share their stories and be heard. Through creative expression, storytelling, and platforms such as Street Voices, participants are supported to build confidence, rediscover their identity, advocate for their rights, and promote sustainable reintegration in Uganda.

“ I am very excited to be part of this initiative. As we share our stories and experiences, I hope to see a future where we are seen, heard, accepted, and intentionally supported by our communities. This will reduce the challenges we often face, such as stigma and poverty, and give us a chance to grow and become better. ”
