Youth Friendly Standards: A new benchmark for youth inclusion

The Youth Friendly Standards (YFS) framework is now live and has been created by our consortium partner, ComDev Africa, to help organizations, institutions, and initiatives engage young people in meaningful and sustainable ways. YFS encourages authentic partnerships where young people’s voices, skills, and perspectives shape strategies, policies, and practices. By adopting YFS, organizations demonstrate their commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and long-term impact. The standards provide practical guidelines for creating spaces and processes that are youth-centered, accessible, and equitable.

Through the YFS programme, organizations can benefit by strengthening their relevance and credibility with youth audiences, building trust and cooperation with young people and communities and showcasing their alignment with continental and global goals on participation and inclusivity.

On this occasion, we’re inviting organizations to learn about YFS and join the accreditation process. Together, we aim to raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and build a stronger ecosystem for youth participation. By joining YFS, you will not only strengthen your own practices but also contribute to building a more just, sustainable, and youth-responsive society. If your organization is committed to advancing youth inclusion, we encourage you to take part in the YFS programme. Complete the questionnaire below to apply:
