We’re part of the Africa-Europe Innovation Platform!
On 19 March 2026, the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective achieved a significant milestone by officially joining the Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) as part of its “network of networks.” This strategic inclusion reinforces the programme’s role in advancing youth-led innovation and cross-continental collaboration between Africa and Europe.
This achievement is a direct outcome of our strong engagement in two key moments in October 2025, which proved instrumental in positioning the programme within the Africa-Europe innovation ecosystem. First, during the Africa-Europe Innovation Dialogues in Brussels, Silvia Diazzi, Communication & Dissemination Manager, Youthmakers Hub, represented the programme in the Sister Projects Panel. Her contribution highlighted the importance of youth participation in innovation dialogues and showcased how the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab fosters inclusive, collaborative solutions. At the same time, our participation in the Innovation Fair 2025, attended by Konstantinos Maragkos, CEO and Co-Founder of Youthmakers Hub, further strengthened our outreach. The event created valuable opportunities to connect with innovators, organisations, and stakeholders working at the forefront of Africa-Europe cooperation. These interactions translated into concrete networking outcomes, reinforcing our credibility and expanding our partnerships. Both activities were strongly supported by Youthmakers Hub, which played a key role in connecting the programme with like-minded initiatives.
By joining the AEIP platform, the programme enhances its visibility, credibility, and access to a diverse network of policy actors, research institutions, and youth-led organisations. This milestone clearly demonstrates how targeted engagement and strategic communication can lead to tangible, long-term impact – positioning the programme as an active and recognised actor shaping the future of Africa-Europe innovation cooperation.
